Day 1: Arrive in Hoi An

You will be welcomed at Danang airport by the local tour guide of Deluxe Vietnam Tours. enjoy the 1st sightseeing through Danang city. After 30 minutes, you will get to Hoi An. Get checked in a hotel near the town center. Enjoy the 1st night in Hoian.

Day 2: Explore Charming Hoi An

After breakfast at your resort, your tour guide will help you to deeply discover the ancient town which was once up on a time a busy trading seaport. But now it is so peaceful and charming town that UNESCO put it on the World Cultural Heritage Site List.

Your foot tour of Hoi An will start with a visit to the ancient Japanese bridge. Named a bridge, it is also a pagoda which has been believed to reduce the earthquakes in Japan. It is a little pagoda, but it bares so much meaning with small and detailed motifs.

Continue your Hoi An walking tour with one of the ancient houses - Phung Hung House or Tan Ky Ancient House. After your tour guide's brief introduction of the ancient house style in Hoi An, the host will introduce the details of their own house - combination of a shop and a house, 2 in 1. Here, you are free to question the house owner.

Then, visit local market to see what the local meals could be for the people in Hoi An. It is also the time to tast the local food on street food tour with your tour guide. You will taste some of the best food which must be tried before die: Banh Mi kep thit or Banh Mi thit nuong - grilled pork with bread and vegetable, Cao Lau - kind of noodle in Hoi An style, Com Ga - chicken rice, nem cuon - fresh spring rolls....

The beautiful temple was built in the end of 18th century with mix of Vietnamese and Chinese architecture. Besides the wonderful architecture, you will learn the belief and spirit for Chinese people in 18th centure. Nowadays, it becomes a part of local Hoian people.

Day 3: Hoi An Cooking Tour

The idea
We create an atmosphere to make you feel like home, like family to cook for family. If you do have cooking skill, we shall elaborate it. If you do not, we shall cultivate your sprout. And most of all, we shall have fun together. The capacity is limited for a maximum of four participants per class thus we strongly suggest you to book your space in advance.

What would happen
We shall meet up at Secret Garden. A family member will accompany you to the market for buying some ingredients which have to be very fresh. This guide is possible to notice the freshness very well hence you will be very proficient in picking the right one as well.

From the market, we shall head back to our kitchen for having a hands-on experience of Vietnamese cuisine. Following our Chef’s instruction, with all materials and the kitchenwares having on your hands, you will totally do it on your own step by step.

First of all, the Chef will try to give you the best conceivable introduction about every single ingredients of four recipes, explain the process, do the demonstration and then guide you through your own performance. Garnishing is also an important part of Vietnamese cuisine which will be briefly illustrated by the Chef. And if you want, the Chef will raise your possibility of making somethings yourself.

After two hours more or less, everything will be ready to serve. Like a family, we shall enjoy our lunch together. A simple dessert will be served at the end of the meal. Included

Day 4: Hoi An - Danang - Marble mountain - Cham museum

Hoi An tour moment

After nice breakfast at your hotel, head off to Danang city. Tour Marble mountain at 106m with pagodas, caves and Vietnamese stone-carving art. Stop at Non Nuoc village to see so many stone-carving art products made by the locals. Then, visit Charm museum where you have chances to see so many famous and beautiful Cham sculptures. Through these sculptures, you will know the past of prosperity from the Cham people in the central Vietnam. Head back to Hoi An town for free time. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 5: Hoi An - My Son UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site

After a nice breakfast at your wonderful hotel, the tour guide and drive of Deluxe Vietnam Tour company will pick you up for the journey through the countryside west of Hoi An to Myson - the kingdom of Champa. Here, your tour guide will introduce the My Son Heritage Site with many Hindu temple ruins which were built by the Champ kings from 4th century to 14th century. This area was also served as the religious ceremonies for the Cham people. The authorities and religious centre disappeared as the Champa kingdom fell down in 14th century. This kingdom was discovered by a group of French soilders in 1885. In 1898 - 1899, French researchers - L.Finot and L.de Lajonquière and architect - H. Parmentier went here to study the history, sculpture art of the Cham people. In 1903-1904, the overall documents of history, art and sculpture were completed.

The restoration began in 1937. However, the site was further destroyed by bombing during the Vietnam war. The remain of ruins was voted as UNESCO World Heritage Site in a lush valley under the backdrop of the Cat Tooth Mountain and the sacred Thu Bon River.

Each of the tower temple in Myson has 3 parts - Bottom, Body and Roof:

The bottom part represents the human world. It was built in bricks or stone with square or rectangle style. This part is beautified with the motifs of animals, people..

The body part represents the religious world where the Cham people got chances to meet their ancestors and the gods.

The roof part with 3 levels represents the genie world. Each level is beautified with statues and spirit animals of the golds like spirit birds, elephants, tigers...

Tips to visit Myson: Early morning visit to the ruins grouped into A’, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and L categories - a well marked route from beginning to end at the My Son Sanctuary. Stay on the marked paths as the signs indicate the potential presence of landmines outside of this area.

Bring water and sunscreen as it gets seriously hot in the My Son sanctuary. Early morning visit is amazing when it’s not too busy.
