2day Mekong Homestay Tour

Day 1: Saigon - Caibe - Homestay

Enjoy 2hour driving from Saigon city to Vinh Long town. On arrival, board on luxury cruise to visit colorful floating market of Cai Be with opportunities to take amazing waterlife photos of local barges full of fruits and vegetables - highlight of Vietnam tours.

Discover the local life by visiting villages to see how special products are made : Rice-net for spring-rolls, cooking salt, Soya sauce, fish sauce, sewing coconut-leaves for cottage roof, rice paper, coconut candy and pop-rice, pop-corn ....

After lunch, you will join the local traffic on a rowing boat on small canals to see under the skin of Mekong delta Vietnam. Then, visit a nursery garden, contact famous farmers - Mr Tiger or his son who is very successful in Vietnam agriculture. Continue seeing traditional houses made of palm leaves and wood. Check in home-stay on An Binh Island.

Afternoon biking around the village on the narrow paths to to see the local farms, houses, real life and the ancestral ways to pick up fruits in Mekong Delta.. Cooking some dishes with the owners. Enjoy diner. Have cups of tea or rice wine when talking with the locals about the culture, people, history of this Island. They do not mind answering some personal questions. Overnight in a private room of local house.

Day 2: Vinh Long - Saigon

After breakfast, walk along the village to enjoy morning fresh air. Boat trip to visit the brick kilns to see how beautiful potteries are being made by the local people create. Cruise along the floating village. Learn how to farm catfish on Mekong river. Then, visit Vinhlong market with chances to take beautiful photos of snakes, rice-field rats, fish, shrimps, prawns, crabs, tropical fruits, vegetables... Drive back to Saigon.
