Built in 1997 in Nguyen Van Huyen Street, Cau Giay District, Museum of ethnology consists two parts: an indoor and an outdoor exhibition with a diverse collection of over 15.000 objects, 40.000 photographs and many audio-visual tapes. All is labelled in Vietnamese, French and English. It is a great way for travelers to learn more about 53 ethnic groups living all over Vietnam. The travelers will meet some of those people on their trips to Sapa in the Northwest Vietnam, highland central landscapes like Dalat, Buon Me Thuot, trips to central Vietnam where they can meet Cham people or Mekong delta trips as well.
The indoor exhibition includes many objects and documents related to the cultural heritages and lifestyle of all 53 ethnic minority communities in Vietnam.
The outdoor section offers a chance for you to see differently amazing styles of many houses coming from all parts of Vietnam. Visit their houses to discover their daily life styles.
