Thank you for your response.

With 2 young kids, may I know each trekking in Sapa takes how long....find it challenging...any other option? We will arrive Hanoi on 27th Nov morning by 11am. How can we maximize the day rather only start city tour on 28th Nov. Can we start Hanoi city tour on 27th? Take train to Sapa on 27th night?

Then we have extra 1 day...I find the Hanoi itinery not very compact, can you add in some more interesting must see places without taking internal flight? If I only need guest house, Sapa just book Mountain View Hotel, will your total cost be reduced more? How much cheaper then? Same thoughout 8 nights stay just budget guest house will do.

We travel on budget, thus looking for value but safe family holiday in Hanoi. Hope you can help advise & requote a cheaper rate.

For your concern on trekking in Sapa, If join-in group tour, travelers will do very hard trekking from Sapa town to village and your kids surely can not do. Therefore, I arrange a private tour with transfer and guide to the villages for your family. This is easy walkings and your kids will enjoy the village tours. It is a customized Sapa tour, you can talk with our tour guide for more walking or stop walking, but visiting local home of the ethnic people. There are many cheap overnight cruises in Halong bay, but accidents (cruise sinking at the middle of the nights, some tourists and Vietnamese tour guides died) have happened with the cheap cruise. Thank you for the mail. Based on your request, the suggested Hanoi itinerary below. 100% no stay and wait at the station because bus and train stations in Vietnam are the most complicated places with a lot of pick-pockets. Many tourists and Vietnamese people have had problems in such places. The second reason is that It may be cold. It would be very bad for your kids to wait there from 4:15am to 8:30am sometimes it may be 9:00am as the tourists come to the lobby late.

Sometimes, it is very cold and sometimes with foggy in Sapa. Sometimes, I met foggy in Sapa, but it will be more clear in the village. This is because Sapa town is much higher than the valleys with nice scenery.

This is the brief tour itinerary. Most of this is similar to the last itinerary which I sent you before. See the difference on Day 5 and Day 6

Day 1(11 Dec 2014): Hanoi city tour - You will be on the flight SQ 176 from Singapore to Hanoi arriving at Noibai airport at 10:30am. You will be welcomed by the tour guide of Deluxe Vietnam Tours and transferred to Hanoi for amazing exploration of our capital. The flight SQ 176 from Singapore to Hanoi takes around 2hours and is always on time, so you will be strong and have time to see our charming city. Take night train to Sapa.
Day 2: Sapa – Catcat village walking tour
Day 3: Sapa – Laochai, Tavan walking tour - Sapa
Day4: Sapa – Taphin – Laocai on night train to Hanoi
Day 5: Hanoi at leisure
Arrival at Hanoi train station at 5 am, you have early check-in in the hotel and have breakfast in hotel(meals: Breafast) Note: We have to book and keep the room for one night so you can check in right at the time you arrive.
Day 6: Hanoi – Bai Dinh - Trangan – Hanoi Join-in group tour. The service we rate is on average. 8:30am pick up at your hotel for 120km drive along the highway No 1 and through the countryside of the Red River delta, you will arrive in Trang An eco-tourism area. First stop is at Bai Dinh pagoda, the largest one in Vietnam. Join a electric car to be transfered to a large Tam Quan gate - the entrance of the pagoda with stunning landscape. A few steps lead you inside the peaceful buddhism world. It is time to enjoy the best collection of over 500 stone sculptured buddha statues on Hanoi tour. Keep walking along the corridor to see these statues, you will get to the bell tower with the biggest bell in Southeast Asia and the main pagoda where the 3 incarnation statues weighting over 100 ton of brone for each. Is your latest quotation USD of group tour to Sapa, including all tips to drivers or tour guide? If we stay in Thu Giang guesthouse (We have friends staying there) when we are in Hanoi, cost can still be reduced? Day 5 seem to be back to Hanoi for 1 full day. What can we do? Is there any chance to fit in Hoi An? Or we better off to a separate Danang Hoi An another time?

Can you connect end of Sapa to Trang Ann? Or to maximise the the day 5 to explore another must see? Hanoi - Tamcoc - Ninhbinh? then continue with Trang An or something? Will this make the route smooth? Can you send me revised full Vietnam Hanoi itinerary again rather than refer to previous emails? I want to make sure places I cover.

- USD price does not include tips for tour guide and driver
- I have check Thu Giang guest house. The quality of the room is lower than our suggested hotel, but they want to charge the same price as the suggested hotel. This is because I have never done bussines with them.
- There is no chance to go to Hoian UNESCO heritage site, Danang because it takes almost a day to go there. It should be another time.
- If you would like to do both Tamcoc and Trangan, it is a private tour as I make the 2 option in the attached file.

The Hanoi itinerary Oct 1st includes Hoa Lu. However, the photo you sent to me is the photo of Tamcoc and at the time you travel, there is no rice like that. The tour does not include Water puppet. The price is the best price that I can offer excluding tips for tour guide and drivers.

We will try to book the direct conner mountain view room at Ninh Hong mountain view hotel, but it depends on the availability. It is a very old hotel as I know. Therefore, the quality may not meet your expectation. It is up to your choice.

Thanks for your mail. We can not replace any thing from the itinerary. There is something similar between Trangan and Tamcoc. These are amazingly shaped rock formations rising up from the river. I understand that you can not find any places like Tamcoc in your country or Asia. There is no rice at that time, but it is still very beautiful. Even it is foggy, it is still very beautiful and charming.

Your family stay in Ninh Binh. So if it is foggy, you can see it around 2pm or 3pm. At this time, it would be clear.( It is sometimes foggy in Jan or Feb )

For the water puppet show, you can see on the Day 8. You can ask my tour guide to buy the tickets for you or you can buy by yourself. If you want us to book tickets for you, I will do. I recommend if you want to buy water puppet by yourself, you should buy the tickets on the 1st day of arriving in Hanoi. This is because it is the peak season for Hanoi holiday.

You misunderstood what I mentioned in the last mail.
After breakfast in Hanoi, our tour guide and driver take to Bich Dong pagoda. Visit Bich Dong pagoda. Then, drive to your hotel to check in. Have lunch. After lunch, you can relax and around 2pm you take the boat trip to visit Tamcoc. It takes about 1h 45 minute(or 2hours) to see the stunning view of Tamcoc. Back to hotel. You stay in Ninhbinh, so you have plenty of time to do it. No rush at all.

If you do not see Tamcoc, in the afternoon - our tour guide will take you walk around Van Lam village or biking around the area(free biking for you).

Trangan looks similar to Tam coc. If it rains when we reach these places how? 2 Youngs kids safe to go on sampan?

I find Tam coc can be traveled from Red River Delta (pls correct me if I am wrong), I thought we already cover red river delta when we go Trangan, to travel Tam coc on separate day from Hanoi, would we repeat same routes of same scenery?

Going Sapa villages see different tribes of similar villages?

Just have some thoughts about it....

Can you resend me this itinerary based on our travel date? Any chance to preempt weather forecast to avoid possible rain? Final price input?

Thank you for the mail. At that time, it is not rainy season in Vietnam. if the rain happens, it is very little rain. Just an umbrella would be fine. You can bring it or buy it in that area. If you join a private tour, you can wait for half hour, the rain will stop.

It would be the same route if you travel to Tamcoc and Trangan on different days. From Trangan, it take around 45minute drive to Tamcoc. You will waste a lot of time and money to do the tours to these places on different days from Hanoi.

Anyway, the hotel where you stay in Ninhbinh is very close to Tamcoc. If you want to see Tamcoc at that time, just ask our tour guide to help you buy the tickets and boat for you.

If you want to see Bai Dinh pagoda, you should tell our tour guide from Hanoi(if you take a private tour to Trangan only)

Note: you can bring your favourite clothes and ask the tailor to make a copy for you. So, on the day you come back from Halong you can get them back, try to see if it needs to be changed anything.

I arrange the Tamcoc tour on the day 7 and the water puppet show on the day 8(please see the itinerary). So total price is USD + USD(water puppet show) + USD(Tamcoc tour) + Tips for tour guides and drivers. The price in total is 1660 USD for the whole family. Thanks for your email and info. I wish to clarify the Hanoi itinerary 4 days 3 nights.
Day 1: Does the food tour include meals? Day 1 Hanoi itinerary is going for food tour, rishaw, Hoan Kien Lake and puppet show. Do i get myself correct? But what about meals? Does day 1 include meals?

Day 2: On board the cruise we will be on our own? Does the cruise has tour guide to let us know what we can do on board or the activities times so that we will not miss any of them. And also the movie night, board games, massage and spa services do we need to pay extra for them?

Day 3: Will the cruise stop at islands and we will have chance to go down for sight seeing? And i see the itinerary for day 3 is only till 11.15am. That's means the rest of the day we will be on our own? We are assuming the package you offer is for the whole day.

Other places such as the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature etc, aren't we going there? Places you offer is kind of limited. And I wish to know the time for breakfast in hotel as your itinerary starts quite early. If our flight back from Hanoi to Malaysia is 9.20am, will we be able to have our breakfast before departing to the airport?

Thank you for the mail and information on your Hanoi travel package from Singapore. Please tell me the flight time arrival in Hanoi for a better Hanoi itinerary.

1/ Hanoi Street Food tour with meal. If you arrive in Hanoi before noon, it will be your lunch. If arriving in the afternoon, it will be your dinner. It is only 1 meal on the 1st day. other meals does not include. If you want to include, please tell us to add the meal and the cost of the meals to your Hanoi travel package.

Activities on 1st day: Walking around the Hanoi Old Quarter, Cyclo tour, Hoan Kiem Lake and water puppet show. Food tour is one meal.

Hanoi Tour Package Included: Hotel, local tour Guide, 16 seat AC Van, Meals: Street Food tour is one meal, Entrance fees.

2/ Hanoi Halong bay tour package, you will have tour guide to guide you around the bay. The food includes, but does not include the drinks, spa, Massage... If you want, you have to pay for these.

3/ Day 3: you get off the boat around 11:00 - 11:15. If you join in van from Hanoi - Halong bay - Hanoi, you will have to wait for the bus for 1hour and a half. The bus will transfer the tourists from Hanoi to Halong bay and pick up you back to Hanoi. You will arrive in Hanoi around 16:00. If you take private van, after you get off the boat, the driver takes you back to Hanoi and you will not have to wait anyone and you will have more time to see Hanoi.

4/Other places such as the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature etc - If your flight arrives in Hanoi in the morning, I will make another Hanoi itinerary with those places on the 1st day.

For breakfast, it starts around 6:30am. For the flight back to your country at 9:20, I will ask the hotel to prepare breakfast box to take away as you have to go to the airport 3 hours before the flight departure.

Please tell me the flight arrival time for a more wonderful Hanoi vacation.

There are some illigal taxis there, if you take, they will drive you around and charge you much more money. The estimated cost from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter to Ho Chi Minh Mausoluem is 6.5 USD/way. The entrance fee is 2 USD/person.

Ho Chi Minh mausoleum is open from 8:00 to 10:30 am. If your flight is a little late, you will not be able to see it. Please give me the correct date of your travel Hanoi and we will keep the room for your Hanoi travel package. If you need any further info, please feel free to question us.

Thank you for the mail on North Vietnam tours Hanoi to Halong bay. For Saint Joseph Cathedral, It will be free for you, our tour guide will take you there to see. For Bat Trang Pottery Village, it is outside Hanoi. It is a little rush to see it for the 1st day but it is possible. I recommend you to include an escorted tour guide for Hanoi - Halong bay- Hanoi and our guide will stop and show you at Dong Trieu pottery factory. Here you will see how pottery is made.

- You can buy a sim card for phone and use 3G internet.
- Tip around 12 USD/day for tour guide and 6 USD/day for driver( as whole group tip)
- It is fine if you do not eat beef. There are many choices of food for you on your Hanoi tour package with us.
- Our tour guide speaks English very very well.
